Who we are

TradeOS is a quoting platform for home service contractors — plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and moving companies. A homeowner describes a job on their contractor's TradeOS page and attaches photos; the contractor prices it and sends the quote back. It replaces the drive-out visit that used to be needed before anyone could quote a price.

The program

Our SMS program is called TradeOS Job Updates. It is transactional, not marketing. We never send promotions, offers, or messages about anything other than the job a homeowner submitted.

TradeOS sends these messages on behalf of the contractor the homeowner contacted, and every message names both the contractor and TradeOS.

We send no marketing or promotional messages on this program, and consent for these messages is not combined with consent for anything else.

Who receives messages, and what we send

Only a homeowner who submitted a quote request and ticked the consent box on that form. We do not buy, rent, or import phone numbers, and there is no way to be added to this program by anyone else.

• The contractor's quote, with a link to view it
• One follow-up if the quote has not been opened
• Confirmation or rescheduling of a booked appointment

How homeowners opt in

Consent is collected in one place: the quote request form on a contractor's public TradeOS page, at /{contractor}/request. You can open a live one here:

Above the submit button is a consent checkbox. It is never pre-selected, and the form refuses to submit until the homeowner ticks it themselves. It reads:

I agree to receive recurring text messages from [Contractor] and TradeOS about this job request: the quote and appointment updates. Message frequency varies by job activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Terms: www.tradeosnow.com/terms · Privacy: www.tradeosnow.com/privacy

Links to our Terms and Privacy Policy sit beside the checkbox. We store the exact wording that was agreed to, with a server-side timestamp, as the record of consent.

Frequency, rates, and stopping

• Message frequency varies by job activity. Most homeowners receive a handful of messages about a single job and nothing after it is done.
• Message and data rates may apply. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your plan.
• Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply START to resubscribe.
• Reply HELP for help, or email contact@tradeosnow.com.

Your number is not shared

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent data collected through TradeOS are not shared, sold, or provided to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

A homeowner's details go to the contractor they contacted, so that contractor can quote the work — that sharing is the point of the service, and it is described in full in our Privacy Policy. The messaging terms are in section 6 of our Terms of Service.
